The Sunshine Coast Turf Club is thrilled to unveil its highly-anticipated TAB Friday Night Racing season, set to kick off on Friday, 29 September. This season promises an array of thrilling races, exciting initiatives, and vibrant entertainment for all racing enthusiasts.
The highlight of this season is the TAB 100’s and 1000’s race series, featuring seven $100,000 1000m races scheduled over seven Friday night meetings. Each race will vary in class and be meticulously programmed to provide an electrifying experience for both participants and spectators. The series dates are as follows:
- Friday 29 September – Class 1 Plate (set weights)
- Friday 27 October – Open Handicap
- Friday 15 December (Race TBC)
- Friday 19 January (Race TBC)
- Friday 2 February (Race TBC)
- Friday 16 February (Race TBC)
- Friday 1 March (Race TBC)
The leading Trainer of the series will have a chance to win a remarkable prize—a trip for two to the prestigious 2024 Melbourne Cup, complete with exclusive hospitality in the TAB Marquee in the Birdcage.
During each Friday Night Race Meeting, attendees can look forward to lively post-race celebrations, with the winning jockey featured on the Big Screen, accompanied by their Favorite song as they return to the scale.
To enhance the on-course experience, punters will have access to the TAB Central site, providing valuable racing tips and information, as well as exciting merchandise giveaways at every Friday Night Meeting.
For those seeking refreshments, a wide array of food and beverage specials will be available on-site, including the newly introduced Parade Ring Terrace Bar & Pizzeria, complete with DJ entertainment from the all-new custom built entertainment platform elevated for a birds eye view of the racing excitement.
Racegoers can take advantage of the ‘Cheers for Beers Pass’, available for pre-booking online at just $20. This pass includes admission, a cap, a stubby holder, a pie, and a drink.
