Calling all stylish Melbourne Cup Day racegoers – say HELLO to this year’s Fashions on the Field Competition, presented by our friends at Hello Sunshine Magazine!
This year’s competition is all about SAVVY, SURPRISING, and SPIRITED style, so start planning your outfit and put your best fascinator forward to enter the following categories:
SAVVY (Classic)
Suitable headwear
Matching shoes and accessories
A classic racewear aesthetic
SURPRISING (Quirky)
Racewear with a creative twist
SPIRITED (Couples)
A coordinated couple having fun in the spirit of race day
*Note – Our categories are open to ALL genders, and we look forward to seeing your fab outfits!
How to Enter
Think you’ve got what it takes to lead the style stakes in this year’s Fashions on the Field?
Gallop over to the Hello Sunshine Magazine Registration Table (located in The Avenue) between 9am and 12 noon on Melbourne Cup Day. You’ll be given a registration form, have your photo taken against the media wall (let them know if you’d like to be tagged!), and will get the chance to tell the judges all about your fabulous ‘fit.
Finalists who meet the above criteria will be asked to return to the registration desk at an allocated time before strutting their stuff on the stage. We’re racing into the wonderful world of Melbourne Cup Day, and we can’t wait to see your interpretation of SAVVY, SURPRISING and SPIRITED style!
We’re working on securing some truly fantastic prizes for you – all will be announced soon!
